What is the We Can Lead Business Advocacy Day for Jobs and Competitiveness? On October 6 & 7, over 100 broad based business leaders from around the country will come to Washington, D.C. for an advocacy day on Capitol Hill in support of comprehensive, forwardlooking energy and climate policies. Who is behind We Can Lead? We Can Lead is a collaboration between the Clean Economy Network, Ceres, and other business groups including the Arkansas Business Leaders for Clean Energy Economy; Apollo Alliance; Business Council for Sustainable Energy; Business Forward; E2; EDF - Less Carbon More Jobs; Indiana Businesses for Clean Energy Economy; National Venture Capital Association; Ohio Business Council for a Clean Economy; Pennsylvania Business Leaders for a Clean Economy; REBN; TechNet; US Climate Action Network and others to connect a broad base of new energy economy businesses with media and policy-makers, in support of comprehensive climate and energy legislation. Should I attend both days? Ideally yes. If your schedule permits only one day in Washington, DC, please be sure to join us on Wednesday, October 7 to share your perspective on the importance of passing comprehensive climate and energy legislation this year. Is there a fee associated with the event? Is there travel assistance available? There is no fee associated with the two days. The We Can Lead campaign is hosting this event for all interested participants. We ask that businesses pay for their hotel and airfare (see information on room block below) however, we may secure financial assistance for companies who need help with hotel and airfare.
